NOTES:
Item 1
The threads in the flywheel are M10X1 (Metric fine) and I do not recommend the use of UNF bolts to pull off the flywheel.
Item 4.
Chamfered side points towards chain wheel.
Item 10.
Has thinner spacer washer without cutout for puller. Must be replaced with improved spherical bearing, but will require the thicker spacer (item 7) and the outside of the bearing must be shimmed in the casing so that it is exactly flush with the outer edge of the casing.
Items 14 & 15.
Lubricate before fitting. Part filling the space with high melting point grease may give seals a longerlife.
Item 16.
When assembling, use hub to centralise before tightening screws. These should have spring washers, but they still eventually work loose. The use of Loctite 'thread locker' is probably the only solution.
Item 17.
If there is any play in the hub, use the appropriate Loctite product to take up the slack. Make sure the oil seal contact area is in good condition.
Item 18.
Tighten to 210 foot pounds, and then continue tightening until cotter pin hole is reached, never slacken back off. If this is not possible, try a shim under the nut and try again. The nut should not bottom on the drive shaft thread.
